The West Africa IT Regional Manager performs four primary functions for the Seaboard

Overseas Division :

  • Monitor, support & escalation of technical infrastructure for regional affiliates

  • Provide support, guidance, and training to affiliate staff in compliance with corporate policy, regulatory and other compliance requirements

  • Deliver project management to regional affiliates technical infrastructure initiatives

  • Primary liaison for communication of technical infrastructure between regional affiliates and SOTG corporate office

Infrastructure

  • Assists in the planning and implementation of networks

  • Implements network security

  • Oversees the administration and maintenance of the company’s infrastructure, assists, and directs local IT staff to meet the administration needs of the local business

  • Recommends hardware and software systems and other infrastructural needs

  • Procures regional equipment where needed

  • Ensures proper troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery meets the SOTG Best Practices and provides expert support when necessary to meet those objectives

  • Responsible for ensuring all locations are meeting the Seaboard Overseas Best Practices and Security Policy (including local compliance)

  • Co-Manages Office 365 tenants

  • Support existing and recommend advancement to AWS & Cloud computing environments

  • Participate in IT Security Initiative rollout team for the Africa region

  • Assist in developing a local infrastructure plan for the subsidiary- implementing the infrastructure upgrades needed

Governance & Management

  • Responsible for working with Africa affiliate companies to meet the SOTG Security Policy standards

  • Responsible for ensuring the local affiliates understanding of the Security & Procedural Policies

  • Facilitate security penetration & attack scans and remediation follow ups with affiliate companies

  • Assist executing the SOTG IT Audit plan for all subsidiaries

  • Assist/Ensure local affiliate companies properly remediate vulnerabilities

Skillset

  • Must be bilingual in French and English

  • Active Directory, MS Exchange, 0365, SQL Server

  • Networking: DNS , Domain & SSL certs

  • Server Hardware & Infrastructure (Firewalls, Switches)

  • Basic Security background or experience in these preferred areas:

  • Qualys, Kaseya VSA, Symantec EPP, Sophos EPP, Identity Management software, Network Software Segmentation concepts, DR planning all a plus

  • Knowledge of Dynamics Business Central a plus

  • Ability to manage small to medium size IT projects

  • Must be willing and able to travel approximately 25-35% of the time throughout West Africa

*Location of position will be either Dakar, Senegal or Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
