About The Role
- The Coordinator - Logistics coordinates Liner Container shipping/inland transportation and post-fixture administration, documentation management and general planning and execution of all associated transactions.
What you will be doing
- Key Accountabilities Assists in the Global freight strategy for all Orica Global and Regional freight requirements (spot through to 2 year)
- Executes contract (Post Fixture) once the vessel is booked and fixed Communicates and administers freight rates and bookings with vendors as required Inputs to Breakaway initiatives
- as well as other continuous improvement activities affecting procedures and processes for shipping and other logistics activity (Supply Chain Optimisation) Schedules vessels for achievement of DIFOT - Demand & Compliance Management standards and to meet customer needs of full delivery on time Ensures full adherence to Orica contract sign off processes tracking spend analysis and reporting Executes administration tasks including: container booking, forwarding instructions (if applicable) documentation management, invoice management, permit management, freight optimization and general movement coordination.
- Supports team with the arrangement of permits relating to vessel movements as required Ensures Procurement team has contract data required for input
What you will bring
- With tertiary or technical qualification - up to 2 years experience post qualification.
- Without formal qualifications - up to 10 years of administrative experience, or allocation of work to operators.
- Role dependent - technical &/or functional business system applications required for tasks (e.g. SAP, SF, Concur, analytics/visualisation tools, engineering software, etc.)

- Insert tertiary qualification required for role (e.g. Accountant must have a tertiary degree in an Accounting discipline, an Engineer must have a tertiary degree in an Engineering discipline
