AMI is looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Marketing and Learner Success Associate to join our Francophone team in Dakar, Senegal for a 6-month contract based position, as we expand our portfolio of clients across West Africa.

  • S/he will report to the Country Lead in Senegal and work closely with the global and local AMI team.
  • We are looking for a passionate and talented Marketing and Learner Success Associate to support AMI growth in francophone West Africa.
  • This is a chance for candidates with a passion for marketing and learning, with an outgoing personality and a passion to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to be part of Africa’s transformation.
  • As a Marketing and Learner Success Associate, you’ll be the go-to person for AMI’s network of entrepreneurs in Senegal.
  • You will be responsible for developing quality and engaging content for different audiences on all our social media as well as supporting learners to thrive and achieve their learning outcomes.
  • The successful candidate should be a proactive and detail-oriented individual, passionate about engaging with learners and supporting them on their journey to growth, with strong communication skills (both verbal and written. Strong project planning, communication skills and the ability to problem-solve (using feedback and data!) will set you up to thrive in this role.

Main Responsibilities 

Marketing

  • Work closely with the AMI Marketing team and other departments to write compelling content including social media posts, blog posts, email marketing messages, presentation content and web copy. You serve as an exemplary writer, consistent with AMI’s tone and mission.

  • Build and maintain a content marketing calendar to deliver purposeful content on our social media and community platforms

  • Respond and direct customer responses/inquiries that come through our media assets including - calls, WhatsApp, email, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and website

  • Engage with our audiences during events – live tweeting, live streaming etc.

Learner Success Management

  • Support learners to make the most of their learning journey with AMI and collect and consolidate learners’ feedback on their AMI experience

  • Help learners to get online and download the practical business and management resources

  • Set up, manage and co-facilitate in-person / virtual touchpoints (Learning Labs) throughout the programme [I don't know about co-facilitate but sure, let's leave it in.]

  • Work closely with the Client Success Manager to provide regular updates on programme

  • Proactively flag risks and brainstorm innovative solutions to challenges faced by learners ahead of time

  • Provide real-time, actionable feedback to enable the Product Team to innovate and improve our core learning products

 Requirements :

  • Solid time management skills ie. Able to manage competing priorities and outputs

  • Willing to learn and collaborate with peers and internal stakeholders at AMI

  • Creative and innovative thinker

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

  • French (excellent verbal and written skills are essential)

  • English (very good level needed. Ability to work and communicate with the team. The AMI team is mostly anglophone)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor degree in business management or marketing

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in project management and digital marketing

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing techniques

  • Experience working in entrepreneurial or high-growth environment (preferred)

  • Experience working with entrepreneurs and SMEs (preferred).
