Responsibilities

Preparing OFP and ATS FPL in accordance with the following:

  • Developing, reviewing, authorizing, issuing and revising all operational flight plans, for scheduled, non-scheduled, training and test Flight Operations, in keeping with safety, regulatory compliance, customer service and corporate requirements;
  • Analyzing operational conditions, identifying limitations on operational capabilities, such as, but not limited to, weather, facilities, Air Traffic Control, Air Traffic Flow, aircraft performance and maintenance MEL/CDL requirements;
  • Analyzing operational and meteorological conditions to determine the most efficient and safe minimum fuel requirement in support of both regulatory and corporate requirements;
  • Analyzing well in advance the CFMU network operational protected portal application, identifying and eliminating the constraints that may affect our operation including, but not limited to, Slots whenever possible.
  • Providing the Flight Crew with a thorough flight crew briefing, covering all significant information, this may affect the flight.
  • Filling and Transmitting to Air Traffic Control directly or through an Air Arabia Maroc approved handling agent in the country of operation, all ICAO Flight Plan requirements.
  • Ensuring changes in ATC FPL that occur prior to departure shall be coordinated with the appropriate ATS unit before being transmitted to the PIC;
  • Ensure having access to the same information pertaining to DGR carried as cargo on board the aircraft that is provided to the PIC.
  • Providing detailed information without delay about dangerous goods carried as cargo to emergency services responding to an accident or serious incident involving MAC aircrafts;
  • Updating and maintain the Punctuality system;
  • Keeping a track and maintaining Aircraft mobiles log updated;
  • Monitoring the SITA/ACARS movement’s message and flight operations messages;
  • Handling the VHF radio and keep log of aircrafts communication;
  • Checking and completing the post flight folders;
  • Coordinating with different departments for the operations of flight.
  • Coordinating with out-stations regarding operations of flight or irregular operations;
  • Initiating, in the absence of the Operations Controller, the Emergency Response Accident / Incident Notification Procedure, and assess and issue Flight Incident Category Reports, including the corporate notification process.
  • During irregular operations, coordinate with the PIC and in consultation with the Operations Control Center Manager, implementing flight delays when conditions warrant, recommending flight cancellations and initiating alternative plans;
  • Ensuring the timely updates of the Flight Dispatch Library and the Aircraft Library whenever the revisions are received during the absence of the Technical Publications Librarian;
  • Initiating and coordinating airport handling when diversions to offline airports are required;
  • Obtaining curfew breaks from local airport authorities during irregular operations;
  • Providing a fuel summary, or if able, flight plans and flight watch for both test and training flights;
  • Assisting the Operations Controller and line Managers with all other related duties as assigned;
  • Rescheduling functions during irregularities to ensure that qualified and legal crews are available for each flight. Coordinate with crew scheduling and tracking specialists to keep crews within duty time and flight time limitations, ,as well as to obtain additional crews during irregularities
  • Liaise with all crew
  • Communicate all changes to stations for hotel and transport amendments
  • Liaise with all Air Arabia departments
  • Book hotel and tickets for charter flights

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or college degree preferred
  • Flight Dispatcher License is an advantage
  • Strong Communication and Organizational skills
  • Strong multi-tasking capability
  • Candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter
  • Must be computer literate/Microsoft Office/DRB:
  • Maroc and foreign government rules and regulations, including applicable ICAO procedures.
  • Company Operations Manuals.
  • Company policies and procedures.
  • Fuel requirements and safety limits.
  • Work in a high stress environment while remaining calm composure
  • Must be able to work flexible, rotating schedule including nights and weekends
