The Position

  • As a Finance Assistant with Intrepid you will provide general administrative to the Regional Finance Manager and wider Finance arm for Intrepid Travel to support our finance functions.
  • This includes liaising with tour leaders, reconciling and paying leader accounts and supplier invoices, and other administrative tasks.
  • As a member of a small team, it's also expected that the role will be prepared to pick up tasks in support of other departments if needed, particularly during busy periods.
  • This is a full-time position based in Marrakech, we believe vaccines play a critical role in the safe return of travel.
  • To ensure our workplaces are safe, we require proof of Covid-19 vaccination when you work from an Intrepid office, attend company events or travel on trips. For those who can’t provide proof of vaccination or a medical exemption, we may offer the option for remote work.

Tasks : 

  • Some of the day-to-day tasks you’ll be responsible for are : 
  • Managing Accounts payable, invoices, overheads and proforma invoices
  • Manager Leader accounts, and records of local leader sales
  • Accounts receivables, and petty cash
  • General ledger reconciliation & other adhoc duties as required

 Skills : 

  • Some of the essential skills you’ll have are:
  • Passionate about travel, personable and self-motivated
  • An understanding of and a passion for Intrepid's style of travel
  • Strong computer skills, highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience in financial analysis and creating reports
  • Experience with a finance system is advantageous
  • Experience in the use of accounting packages
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
