This position is located at our property Amanjena Marrakech in Morocco.
Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated and passionate Groups and Events Manager who will be responsible for receiving groups and events in the hotel, serving as an intermediary between the guest and the operational areas. By application of strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, this position is responsible for supporting Sales and Marketing department with various tasks.
Responsibilities
Preparing groups and event proposals and responding to inquiries in timely manner
Full communication with guests/event agencies/ travel agencies to plan their event or group stay from A to Z including all group coordination, contacting, preparing of event orders, billing etc.
Be passionate and detailed to create an exceptional experience for our guests
Work closely with all departments to create a successful event sequence
Liaise with vendors (e.g. event companies, décor, A/V, entertainment) to give suitable suggestions to guests
Conducting site inspections and creating itineraries for Fam and press trips
Supporting the Sales and Marketing department with various tasks
Qualifications
Exceptional organizational skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize
Excellent communication skills in English and French (verbal, listening, writing)
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to use standard software applications such as MS Office
Work independently and hands-on experience
Self-starter who loves People, Events and Service
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in luxury service environment
Positive, engaging and passionate
Exceptional people skills, compassionate host
Very service oriented, seeking to constantly exceed guest expectations
Very high attention to detail
Organized, manage time wisely and work independently, ability to work under pressure
