About the team

• At VEED, we’re enabling anyone to create professional-looking videos. Wed out building an intuitive-but-powerful video editor, and we’ve now expanded that into a whole suite of tools for video creation.

• Making a video is very often a team effort, and people work together on a video in many ways — from helping out writing a script, to recording a video together, to getting feedback on an edit. Our users do this all the time, but we know we can do so much more to make collaborating on a video effortless.

• In this role, you’ll be responsible for making the collaboration experience at VEED amazing. There’s a lot of opportunity here, and you’ll get to help shape many different areas of the product — you’ll research & build our dashboard, our onboarding, our viewing experience and more. You’ll be working on the parts of the product that get seen the most — your job will be to convert those eyes into people creating videos.

• You won’t do this on your own, of course — you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team to accomplish these goals. And as we prove this out further, we’ll scale even bigger.

What you will do

• Lead the building of our collaboration product and the team, taking full ownership of the product and its success.

• Stay ahead of the curve and be prepared for scaling both the product and the team. Keep your finger on the pulse of the team's needs and take the lead on hiring initiatives.

• Conduct in-depth research on all fronts — market research, customer feedback and data analysis. You need to get a deep understanding of the video editing and creative tools market, to inform the product strategy and roadmap.

• Ship it. Define and prioritize features, manage the product backlog, and facilitate smooth product releases.

• Champion product quality, working closely with the engineers and the QA team to ensure that the tools and their algorithms are delivering reliable and high-quality results.

About you

• You have a proven track record. We're a young company — at this stage, we need people who have been through this before. You've got 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on collaborative and creative products.

• You like the hustle, and wear many hats. We're pretty early-stage, and you have to be comfortable in ambiguous environments and doing many different things.

• You're a team player. We work in multi-disciplinary teams. You’ll work with a group of super-talented designers, engineers and researchers. Together, you’ll be solving really complex problems, so you need to communicate well and be able to have good discussions with domain experts.

• You're a learner. No week is the same here at VEED, and we're all constantly learning as we go. You have to be infinitely curious and excited about figuring stuff out with us. As we're building the product, we'll probably get some things wrong — that's fine by us, as long as we learn from them.

• You're an innovator. PMs come in many shapes and forms — some PMs love to sketch out things, some love spreadsheets. We're looking for a sketch person here. It's important that you have a point of view — we won't be able to research & analyze everything we build, so we have to make bets. You’re able to make great bets, and champion them.

• You understand tech. Tech is at the core of our product — our success is dependent on leveraging technology extremely well. You understand how things work and are built, and you don't mind diving into API docs to figure out whether we can use some new technology to improve our product.
