What You Will Do
- EAME Distribution has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate individual who can drive change and process improvements in the digital area. As a Digital Operations Consultant, you will play a key role in executing our digital strategy and driving digital transformation within our dealer network. Your primary role will consist in working with key dealers in Africa and develop their digital capabilities in line with the Caterpillar Digital Strategy and Excellence Program to support Services Growth.
- The incumbent will provide Subject Matter Expertise in the area of Connectivity, Platform & Data and Applications with a particular focus on growing eCommerce sales and active customers, increasing the number of connected assets, improving Lead & Opportunity Management Data Health and increasing the usage of our equipment management applications. In this role, you will work directly with Dealers, including Senior Dealer Management, as well as many internal business partners across the enterprise.
- This position provides a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast evolving environment and contribute to the Services Growth Strategy by working on enterprise-wide recognized initiatives and improving dealer digital capabilities and performance. To succeed in this role, strong Communication, Change and Project Management skills are essential.
You Will Specifically Be Accountable For
- Driving execution of Digital priorities and strategic initiatives as identified by Services Growth Strategy, Leadership Tables and Operational Excellence Program.
- Conducting the Digital Excellence Program assessment with assigned dealers, establish and execute action plans and governance reviews to improve dealer digital capabilities.
- Consulting with dealers on Connectivity, Lead & Opportunity Management Data Health, eCommerce, and Fleet Management solutions.
- Develop dealer capabilities for eCommerce solutions and drive customer adoption and online part sales.
- Be the main Digital contact for District Managers and Field Reps and internal business partners (CatDigital and Industries) and provide Subject Matter Expertise to improve Digital and Technology capacity and capability.
- Aligning strategies of the dealer, CatDigital, Aftermarket Services, Industries and Caterpillar Distribution Services Divisions
- Keeping up with new industry trends, changing technology and regulations affecting customers and competitive environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Marketing, Digital, Engineering, Information Technology, or similar
- 7+ years of operational and marketing experience gained from a broad range of assignments requiring Dealer and/or customer contact and interactions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills including presentation proficiency and a demonstrated ability to earn trust and credibility with senior management teams
- Ability to influence internal and external partners at all hierarchy levels to successfully drive change
- Extensive project management, change management and process improvement experience
- Self-starter, able to work autonomously and in teams
Top Candidates Will Also Have
- Good understanding of the Digital Operations environment and in particular Dealer Data Health, eCommerce and Fleet Management solutions.
- Proven ability to drive operational improvements with dealers and customers
- Demonstrated ability to quickly understand dealer culture with the ability to translate that understanding into a tailored approach to selling the value of Digital offerings
