Does the prospect of building repeatable and world-class operations & systems excite you? If so, you could be the person we are looking for to manage and engage our digital community of Young Leaders going through our various programs.

In 2035, Africa will have the largest workforce in the world and will need to catalyse transformation by empowering its largest untapped resource - its people. The African Leadership Group is an ecosystem of institutions with a shared vision to harness Africa’s abundant human capital and transform the continent and the world by selecting, developing, and connecting 2 million ethical and entrepreneurial leaders by 2030. ALG was founded over 15 years ago by Fred Swaniker, a serial entrepreneur recognised by Time Magazine as one of the 100 most influential people of 2019.

ALX and The Room are two brands of the African Leadership Group. ALX is our training arm, focused on developing skills for the fourth industrial revolution - software engineering, data science, UX design, cyber security, etc.) to ensure that Africa is able to compete effectively as the world undergoes a digital transformation. The Room is our connection arm, a community where our young talent join to access a lifetime of extraordinary opportunities and meaningful relationships. To learn more about us, please read this article about why we launched The Room & this article about the impact of our development programs on African youth.

Our team builds holistic learning programs aimed at lightweight skills development focused on labour market needs, behaviours, and mindsets that accelerate work placement. We scaffold these programs with unique experiences and support systems to help guide our participants throughout their learning journey. We develop talent in various verticals, such as Software Engineering, cloud computing, cybersecurity, executive assistants and financial analysts.

You will be working with a talented team of smart creatives that have a bias to action, learn by doing, are brave, bold and humble. This is a chance to be part of a team cracking a code that can fundamentally transform the future of Africa - two million entry-level jobs by 2030.

With such an ambitious goal, our team is inspired to work smarter, and consistently thinks about how things could be done better. We have high levels of accountability and own outcomes - when we win we keep going, when we fail we learn and start again. We take time to listen and understand our customers' pains and gains, and then experiment and move forward by turning insights into action with data. As important as our work is, and it is, we also celebrate the privilege and responsibility of doing it with enjoyment and zest.
